About Me

This body of work reflects my growth as an educator — my commitment to reflective practice, continuous improvement, and meaningful student engagement. Having successfully completed both CalTPA cycles, earning a score of 28 on the Literacy assessment, this portfolio represents not just what I submitted for evaluation, but how I show up in the classroom every day. I also hope it serves as encouragement to other teacher candidates navigating their own journey toward the classroom.

Teaching is not simply a profession for me — it is a calling. I am deeply committed to supporting diverse learners through inclusive, intentional instruction that fosters both academic achievement and social-emotional growth.

My long-term goal is to pursue education law, where I can advocate for equitable opportunities and support students, families, and schools within the legal framework of education. I believe the most effective advocates for children are those who have stood in the classroom — and that is the foundation I am building.

This journey is rooted in purpose and guided by faith. I remain committed to serving with integrity, excellence, and dedication wherever I am called to lead.

Rooted in Purpose: Who I Am as an Educator

This space is designed for educators who are both creative and intentional — those who love children deeply and are committed to designing meaningful, effective curriculum grounded in students' interests, needs, and developmental growth. It is for those who not only envision transformative learning experiences, but who also construct purposeful pedagogy to bring that vision to life with excellence.

One of the most meaningful pieces of my work is an interview I conducted with my father about the lives of our ancestors. This experience deepened my understanding of identity, legacy, and connection. It allowed me to explore parts of my story I had not yet considered, and it remains a treasured recording that I will carry with me for years to come.

I often reflect on this truth —

"Children are like seeds, and when planted in good soil blossom into saplings. From saplings they become full grown trees. From full grown trees they become budding trees producing fruit that impact the nations."

This belief grounds my work and reminds me that education is not only about the present—it is about cultivating a future far beyond what we can immediately see.

A few of my favorite children's books — both chosen for their allegorical depth and themes of growth, reminders that the stories we give children shape the way they see themselves and the world.
